Most property assignments consist of the property name followed by the value being assigned that property. There are exceptions to this general rule, though. Because the value of the “optional” property is not meaningful (if it is present, the attribute is always optional), the property assignment begins and ends with the keyword “optional.

 

 

We’ve now added a second attribute to the type “school,” named “mascot-name,” which is optional.
