Tutorials - How To Define an XML-Schema Data Type

Tectonic provides the ability to create type instances using the “instance” keyword. The name of type to be instanced follows the keyword.

 

 

In this example, we use “instance” to create an instance of the “office-suite” type and “write” to display that instance. The elaboration operator, “!”, also known as “bang” is used to express our type instance as XML text.
